Introducing A Paper & Pen, a double CD set packed with previously unheard and unaltered original versions of your favorite 2Pac songs! The first disc showcases 2Pac's Thug Life era classics, with four bonus songs from his Death Row days. Disc two continues the timeline, presenting songs from the Me Against the World sessions. There are some definite gems in this set, including:

Judgment Day, uncut and unedited. This song was heavily chopped into Soldier Like Me on the Loyal to the Game album, and features production by the Live Squad's Stretch. It's a high energy Thug Life era song. Str8 Ballin' original version that is in many ways a step between I'm Getting Money and the LP version of Str8 Ballin'. 2Pac performs additional vocals and the energy of the song is very unique. Killing Fields contains the much sought after Napolean verse, and of course the introduction vocals are not edited. Where Will I Be? Is a song featuring 2Pac vocals that was intended for Dramacydal's first label release, with the alternate (remix) version intended as a remix for single release. The true original version of The Thug In Me is included, which contains a very different instrumental than the version that leaked in 1996 that was thought to be the original version as recorded by 2Pac. In fact, the leaked version is a remix. Nate Dogg shreds the hooks on Changed Man, accompanied by a hot verse from Big Syke. In this version 2Pac only performs his first verse, meaning this was one of the few songs that 2Pac recorded in segments. If I Die 2Nite features a much more digital sounding instrumental that is arguably superior to the released version. Such is also the case with Nothing 2 Lose with its deep piano riffs, It Ain't Easy with its new chorus vocals and bass guitar driven blues inspired instrumental, the inclusion of a completely new vocal layer in My Block along with several layers of instrumental that were removed for release, and the more hip hop, less cross over original version of Dear Mama. There is so much new stuff here that a description doesn't do it justice!!
